That’s what CS2 shows when you import a code made before the update. Your crosshair isn’t lost. Paste the code above and you get the same crosshair as a new code the game accepts.

Crosshair code questions
Why does CS2 say my crosshair code is invalid?
CS2 changed its crosshair code format in an update. Codes made before that update now get “Invalid or old crosshair code”. Paste your old code at the top of this page and copy the new one it gives you.
How do I get my old crosshair back?
Paste your old code above and pick the resolution you play at. Copy the new code, then in CS2 go to Settings → Crosshair → Share or Import and import it. You can also paste the console line, or add it to autoexec.cfg so it stays.
Can I turn config lines into a share code?
Yes. Paste the cl_crosshair lines from your autoexec, a pro’s config or a forum post. Other lines like binds are skipped, and any setting that isn’t there uses CS2’s default. You get a code to import in Settings → Crosshair → Share or Import.
Can I convert the donk or s1mple crosshair?
Yes. Any old code works, including pro codes from videos and old configs. For current pros, their page in Pro configs already has the code in the new format.
Why does my converted crosshair look bigger or smaller?
The update changed how size, thickness and gap scale with resolution. Pick the resolution you actually play at and the new code keeps the pixels your crosshair had before.
Is my code sent anywhere?
No. The code is read in your browser and never leaves your device.
